Bike out of order :(

Just had the worst 2 days of commuting in the last 3 months!! Left crank broke on Tuesday night and had to travel on public transport yesterday and today. I forgot how slow and overcrowded it is! Managed to get new crank yesterday but got home and couldn't find right tools to fit it . Back to lbs tonight to get tools so I don't have to endure another day on the bus/tram!!

Aye, I know how you feel, although I'm driving in (I'd have to take two buses and an underground to travel 5 miles by public transport!)

Take consolation from the fact that you will soon be back in cycling nirvana....

I find using public transport occasionally a positive exercise.


It makes me positive I prefer cycling.

Commiserations to the OP; even on days like to day (misserable weather) I'd rather be on the bike, folk in the office find that a bit strange.

Long Delivery on Bromptons

Has anyone else had issues trying to buy a brompton folding bike. I have tried to order 2off -standard configuration and so far I have waited 6 weeks trying to get someone to say when I might get the bikes.

I wrote to Brompton direct and they asked me what I had ordered and from whom and then would not give me anymore answers.

They might be good bikes but with that customer service it provides an incentive to find another manufacturer who cares about business.

Does anyone have similar experiences with Brompton or can suggest an alternative supplier/manufacturer.

Perfect excuse for owning more than one bike, 2 bikes is a minimum for any cyclist imo.
