A Spesh Sirrus slow? I don't think so. It's one of the faster and more road oriented designs to be found amongst hybrids.

It was the base model only that i tried and in comparison to my current ridgeback day 01 and the ridgeback flight 01 that i test drove it was slow (to me)

Hi Saty,

Just found your thread whilst trawling the internet to see if I could find my spesh sirrus for sale after been stolen on sunday. I felt a bit like you first having been a Genesis Day owner and getting a sirrus elite after that one was nicked. That feeling of it not having the same zing I think is about it having lower gearing than the Genesis, once your legs and pedalling style adapts it is zipppy bike that I missing a lot. I also had to get one of those horrible riser stems for my genesis- but that will be a problem specific to rider.

Anyone in Glasgow sees black spesh sirrus with rack and mudguards about town or floating in the canal- pls let me know.

back to OP, compplain to the seller and ebay, they've not sold something dodgy wrongly described, they've sold something potentially lethal

I'd expect my money back at the very least

Hi Pedro,
Sorry to hear you have had your bike(s) stolen .. 2 weeks ago I ended up getting the Ridgeback Flight 01 (2008) from evans in the sale for £299 and it is an awesome bike and was the same cost as the Sirrus 09. I am loving it, really enjoy my 20 daily (round trip) commute ;):biggrin:
