Having got myself a cycle sat nav..mio 305 from Merlin i opened the box and some parts were missing i.e Cadence and Speed Sensor Kit,and bike mount..
Reported the problem last week and not even a response..
1, How long does a shop take to respond to a email
2, Am i just getting fobbed off and if so whats my next move?.
I feel a simple we are trying to sort this problem out and will be back to you soon would of been sufficient in my opinion.
 
Do you have a phone number for them? Emails are easy to ignore.

just been on the site and found a number will ring tommoz..I kinda liked my bit of being a drama queen,thanks for ruining it with common sense...lol

Always found Merlin to have excellent customer service. I am sure they will rectify with no problems or hassle.

Is it the 305 or the 305 HC? The former doesn't have the speed cadence sensor. The box should tell you which one you have, might just be a warehouse mix up.

Deffo the hc,rang today didnt get much joy. they just said send it back.which i dont want to..they say seeing its the last one they cant get any spares.
So i tried to chip some discount off some bibs not much joy here....but they seem not to be able the concept that ive got to fork out for this out of my owm pocket..
Certainly want be using these again and will mention it to the rest of the cycling club...

I don't quite understand the logic here.

You say you ordered the HC model as it comes with the extras, unfortunately they weren't in the box when it arrived, so you contact them to rectify the issue but you don't want to return it and would be happy with some discount on another product.

Why didn't you order the basic model to start with if you didn't want the extras ?

They only had 1 left and it was a hc for £135 so i thought id snap that offer up.
Nowhere did it say that their were parts missing even if i wanted them or not.
So if i sent it back i wouldnt be able to pick another one up for that price...
Regarding the discount offered on other products, it resulted to be about £5.00 if that...
But the missing parts for me to replace are £60 odd quid.

The perils of buying on-line, far better to go to a real shop.

I'd be tempted to return it for a full refund and look around for other deals. Is the £135 a very heavy discount on the normal price?

yes mate...im that peeved off its going back...i feel another battle coming on regarding the refund..the thing is they will have to sell it off a lot cheaper because of the missing parts...great thinking from merlin
