I've been using the road bike all year since I bought it in March, but I very nearly got caught out on Friday when there was a dusting of snow. I've taken the warning though, and today the thicker tyred, Dawes hybrid has been brought out of retirement. She's only had occasional slow weekend rides with the kids this year, so I've given her the once over, and now I've adjusted the gears and brakes, cleaned, oiled, and lubed her, swapped over the panniers and lights, and now she's ready for the Winter rides.
I suppose I could ride the road bike all year round, but the tyres are too skinny, and I'd rather have an 'off' (as I most likely will at some point this Winter) on the Hybrid as she's a lot tougher. Is anyone else still using the road bike?
