BikeGear, I think it would be interesting

Would I be the only one interested in a Top Gear style cycling program? The show could be about anything to do with pedal power such as trikes, recumbents and the occasional new daft invention of their own.
Star on a reasonably priced bike? Maybe a £500 Giant Defy round a go kart track or something. There would be no anonymous race rider tho as Stigs tend to get confused by handlebars*.

The Stig used in my avatar crashed during that test ride. We eventually had to find an old bicycle wheel and attach it to the headset so that he could use it as a steerer wheel. We had cable issues.

Nice idea but I couldn't see it doing more than a few episodes, I mean the rocket bike has already been done to death and you can only say so much about a bike before it starts to get boring so the audience would also be very limited. Not quite the same thing as top gear though I have to admit the latest series leaves a lot to be desired.

Or there's GCN on Youtube, and no doubt other similar channels. I like the videos done by The Col Collective, but then I'm a mountain road climb tragic.

There used to be a cycling programme not dissimilar to that on C5. It was pretty crap but not as crap as Top Gear (very few TV programmes are)

Are you referring to the series with Chris Evans? I really liked Top Gear but I never even tried to watch a single episode with Chris in it. Cant stand the boring little pillock.

Yes, i was a big fan of top gear, to some people Clarkson is like marmite but teamed with Hammond and May the original TG was, imo a damn good series, but the new series..............:stop:nah............I didn't even get through the first episode.

Any of it. Can't stand Clarkson or the format. But then I'm not a bloke so I very much doubt the programme was designed to appeal to me on any level, stupid, puerile and pointless

Blokes = people that are entertained by stupid, puerile and pointless shows. Gee, thanks.

Top gear is very much a "blokey" type programme , I can understand why women would have a lack of interest in it but to a lot of blokes, myself included, a tv programme about powerful cars coupled with earthy humour is right up my street. I also enjoy fifth gear and car sos, I guess I am a bit of an aging petrol head.
