I learned a lot from the old cyclingplus place, not sure if i ever posted, just sat and learned. Mag used to be great, bought for several years (have bound copies even) but of course the mag was ruined for many by the pandering to the sportif crowd. By the by, i always had the idea that you were not allowed to menton other forums by name, only allude to them in the most delicate way. Was I mistaken or has there been a change?

I too jumped ship from C+, back when all this was fields...
BTW, there's no ban on mentioning other fora - many of us are bike-curious and dabble elsewhere, so to speak.
I've been on a few YACF rides, frinstance.
Actively plugging another forum to the detriment of CC would be frowned upon, but so would unreasonable criticism of other fora too.

There were a few cliques on BR, one guy from memory likes to use his name in the 3rd person all the time, like he's *that* famous.
If we get a few of those types making the transition over here, we'll be the worse for it I'm afraid.
