Bikes on buses

I just found this photo of a bus used briefly to take bikes through the Dartford Tunnel. I can't imagine the stair arrangement being allowed today.

You've probably seen it but quite a lot of places do the bike/ bus integration on a smaller scale; rack on the front of the bus; the Trossachs Trundler, in the States etc I'd like to see more.

Just for information, the Trossachs Trundler is no longer in operation. See here.

There were various trials about bikes on buses in this country that went on. Unfortunately some idiot decided to put them on the back of the bus, not the front and it was deemed a failure and never rolled out. The odd bus you can take bikes on there are two in the Peak District round here you can take bikes on and I think another 2 routes a bit further out.
