Biomass Boilers - question

Anyone had one fitted and got any experience good or bad (or decided against and if so why)? Had quotes for different systems for the cottage renovation and thoughts were towards biomass. However, recent conversation (with the plumber) have left me questioning whether a wood pellet system is suitable for a small domestic property with just 2 residents and infrequent (summer) use.
