Bird Strike

Cruising down the hill into Pitscottie village this morning, as I approached the junction a wood pigeon flew into the side of my helmet. Yes it did hurt, felt like I had head -butted a cricket ball, made my eyes water, which is a bit of an issue when approaching a junction with a main road at 25mph.

I have read on the forum about a rider punching a pheasant anyone else survived a bird strike?

Not exactly , but I was hurt in an avian incident this morning.
I was on foot , a pigeon flew up from the pavement and startled a woman who lurched towards me , I moved to get out of her way and got hit on the head my another woman's umbrella !
