bit off more than i can chew

Did 23 miles today, it was a breeze on the way in, as I was heading north, took the more direct 18.5miles back, it was a bit harder in the rain,wind and dark and a hill climb finish (42mph down it probably 5-7 up it ). I drove up 2/3 of the way and cycled the 23miles from there (I've only ever did the full 51miles once) and tomorrow I'll be driving closer, maybe all the way if the weather is as bad as forecasted! Driving part may be an option for you too, picking only to cycle the full distance on good day

I never thought of driving part way , an interesting and attractive idea . You get to ride in a new area and explore with a bolt hole if things go wrong and still get paid for going to work woooohoooooo .
