At work today I walked down Bartle Garth, Turks Head Court and Penny Lane Court - the latter not a very remarkable name, but someone has wedged a penny in the loop of the P.

Not sure what my favourite York ones were - Bad Bargain Lane, Little Shambles. York had a lot of good street names and not just in the city centre.

There's a lane that was called Tink-a-Tank in Banbury, renamed Church Passage since the early 19th C. Originally it was a narrow cobbled lane with tall buildings either side and the sound of shoes on the cobbles gave it it's name. Anyway I like the name Tink-a-Tank, it's cute!

Near Dalton in North Yorkshire there's a 'Paradise Lane' ;)

Funny, I could have sworn I said that....

Sorry bout that. ;) But the picture was nice, right?

Edit: Nope, the image was modded out as well due to excessive size. It's official, I suck.

Picture was lovely - don't worry about it, Auntie Helen's probably on dial-up! ;)
Picture was indeed lovely but it did take a very long time to download - and I'm on Broadband (admittedly a slow connection as I live in the sticks).
