So...I'm going on holiday to France, organised some months ago.
Tonight it occurred to me, "Tour de France is on while I'm there, wonder if it passes anywhere nearby."

Closest place to visit on the last day of the holiday would be Albi, the finish of Stage 10; 3½ sodding hours drive away!!

Ah well, maybe next year.

Have you got your Crit Air sticker?

Watching the TDF is all about the anticipation and the atmosphere. If you're not on a hill the riders will pass so fast that it's all over in seconds.

The in-laws live in France. Apparently it's so hot there that they're having to stay indoors with the curtains closed trying to keep cool - they say you simply cannot go outside during the day due to the ferocity of the heat.:heat:

Enjoy your holiday. :okay:

We’re currently riding St Malo to Nice and it’s hotter than hell. We’re getting up at 0500 and trying to get 60-70 miles in by 1300-1400 then lounging around campsite pools for the remainder of the day. Hottest so far 43.8 degrees as we pulled in to one campsite a few days ago. Today’s Max was only 35. If it drops to 33 tomorrow we’ll ride an hour or two extra after lunch
