I have the original Brompton Ti version from 2005. Is that now a museum piece?

The genuine Ti seatposts are very expensive secondhand: about £300. They were £80 new when I got mine.

I tried a "J&L" Ti post from eBay on another Brompton but it was so flexible, compared to the real one, that I didn't dare ride it in anger.

When the famous Embacher Collection was auctioned off in 2015 an early 2lx was one of the bikes on auction. It went for 1875€ - not too much in comparison to other bikes of the collection, still more than you'd get on the "normal" market.

There was a plain lacquered 6 speed for sale last weekend in Croydon for £500, needless to say I wasn’t quick enough

after regretting selling mine last year I’m looking for another scruffy one to restore, they do pop up but you have to be quick.
