After having just bought a 105 5800 black chainset, I’ve noticed that you can generally get a silver one for a lot less money than a black one.

Typically, I wanted a black one.

Not my choice, but actually quite like it, and makes a change from the usual black, so it's staying. And you said purple, not pink, which is a good thing

mines black, I like black, but I think silver would suit your bike better
purple is having a renaissance, I have purple skewers and headset spacers, ok they are 20+ years old

I've just bought a silver chainset for my Ventus, but I'm switching from compact to double & will probably keep the compact on till towards the end of the year when I get a new Ti bike, as I've some hilly rides planned & a std double chainset might be too much for me Be okay for most of my riding round here though.

I can go fit it on & take a pic so you can see what it looks like if required though ?

God no on that bike everything needs to be silver to match the lush Ti stem

If I’d kept it, it was going to get a silver seatpost and wheels. And a sram groupset but think those are only black unfortunately

I know, I was just playing around. Silver in that bike, but you would need to change the cassette and derailleur to match.
