I woke up this morning to a covering of snow. Dug my knobblie tyres out and put them back on the MTB and went out to play. Went up the tops where there was more snow and had fun cycling in that. I practiced going down the hills as fast as I dared and practicied getting the pressure right for braking without skiding. It was fun with the added bonus that I never fell off!

Quite a contrast now though. It's raining and all the snow has melted. Never mind, eh.

Come 10 miles this way fossy it's absolutely chucking it down:sad:

For the past 5 days I've had to work north of Maesteg, quite a shock in itself xx(, and as the week wore on it got colder, culminating in a heavy snow fall shower on Thursday. Fab, I thought, the roads will become treacherous and it'll be chaos. How wrong I was. It seems the local councils have finally got their acts together and gritted the roads in plenty of time. So I had to go back up again yesterday and was the last leaving the building in the evening, much to my chagrin!

Thats because we're are made of a high percentage of water - cold and wet is worse than, relatively, dry and cold...... ;)

There's snow about but it's dry and powdery. At this temperature it barely matters what the weather's doing. It's just so COLD. ;)

It's been nice and quiet in our road because it slopes down at each end and the short-cutters stick to the main road for fear of not getting up the hill.

Went tobogganing yesterday with the nipper on Whalley Nab then it started raining! Driving rain has got into the seals around the back door and now it's frozen and I can't get the door open!

I reckon road conditions will be really dangerous today.
