Worth it for that result though Accy!!

2 wins and 1 draw will seal promotion for you.
Hopefully!:okay: I'm going to dig out my 8mm video cam tapes from the day we won our last promotion at Woking in 2006 and ask someone to put them on you tube for me,if that's possible. I filmed myself on the pitch during the celebrations. I think the fellow CCers would like to see me and pass judgement.:whistle:

I think the chances of British Rail being resurrected to pay a taxi fare are vanishingly small! :okay:

A few years ago a great aunt of mine was heading back to Oban when her train from Glasgow was cancelled due to a landslide damaging the railway track. The management at the station agreed to pay for a taxi for the alternative 97 mile journey by road.

Woke this morning to a heavy fall of snow.
Snowed continuously for a few hours then started to turn to sleet, then rain. Been raining continuously since late morning.

Result = extremely wet snow.

Seriously fed up with the godawful weather now.

Same in this part of Yorkshire, yesterday, continual rain from arriving home at 09:45, to going to bed at 22:30
It only varied in the flow, not the time

Back to work today (10:00 - 18:00), & it's patchy blue skies, & drying up
Buggeration!

Think positive. At least the rain has washed the road salt away.
I've thought like that before,only to see the dreaded yellow lights flashing salting wagon doing the rounds again,due to a forecasted heavy frost. I think councils have to get rid of it before the new financial year. Otherwise the government will say "Oh you didn't use it all last year,so this year you aren't getting as much".

Attempted bike ride. This was the second one of these we had to turn back at. Heavens opened, came home soaked and only did 18 miles. Blazing sunshine now half an hour later.

We got away without any major flooding here. The river level was rising rapidly but peaked and then dropped down again.

The environment agency had made a very accurate prediction of what it would do. I have been watching the local monitor since the flood warning siren sounded last night and levels are exactly tracking the prediction.

I just nipped out to Hebden Bridge and back. There is a fairly strong wind blowing, but it is one of the mildest days in the last 6 months - LET'S HAVE MORE OF THESE DAYS PLEASE!
