As I've mentioned in another post I recently saw a BMW bike here in Guangzhou (not the M) and I was really impressed by the quality of the finish and the style of the bike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was of course Lotus. Did Mercedes actually make any of these?

I've just realised those two bikes perfectly reflect the manufacturers cars
Lotus - stripped down track tool. With, in Colin Chapmans philosophy 'added lightness'
Mercedes - lots of gadgets and looks very heavy

Not forgetting the grandaddy of all the car makers turned bike makers*
Bugatti.
Scroll down for the full horror.

*As opposed to bike makers turned car makers.

According to BMW: “Anyone who rides this sporty speed bike through the city or takes a short tour through the countryside will immediately attract a lot of attention − at least for a few seconds. The high total gear ratio transmission delivers astonishing speed.”

Er, what's a 'high total gear ratio transmission' when it's at home? And how does it 'deliver speed'? I'm in the saddle not in PR, but as far as I know, it's legs that deliver speed.

A description embedded on their site suggests that once you have received your bicycle there is some minor assemby work to do, such as

Attaching the pedals - OK
Adjusting the handlebars - OK
Inflating the tyres - WTF?
