BMX brakes on Singlespeed

By BMX brakes do you mean the brake lever or the actual brake?

I ask because many road frames simply wont accept the type of brake typically found on a BMX bike. But the gear lever, that's a different story.

Well unless you have a frame that supports the use of U-brakes, then no you cant use them. Well you can but you need to buy a converter plate.

As for brake lever, you can use those with road brakes fine, but you might need to shim the clamp as BMX bar's are not the same size as road bars, so some levers wont fit right out of the box.

Right then people : I'm using dirt harry type levers, but need some road brakes to hook them up to. How do I measure it?

why not use same calipers as before or if not look on back of caliper and it will have there drop stated or measure from centre of bolt hole in fork to centre of braking surface on rim and hey presto
