BMX Track fun!

I just wanted to share the boyish joy I got the other day.

Riding through the back streets of Padiham to avoid the A-road (and having forgotten the greenway) I went past an empty skate park and on the other side of the road a small tarmacked BMX track, with whoop-de-do bumps and berms at the ends.

There was no one around and after a moments thought round I went great fun and gave me a super wide grin of joy! No problem even on a carbon race bike.

I'd show it on street view but the images predate it. The half pipe is there on street view though, and the track is on the right hand side of the road where there's long grass now.

It is what is known as a pump track rather than a full on BMX track I have played on that one on my Hybrid when passing there is one in Witton Park Blackburn too.

Pump tracks are ace fun as you can normally roll everything on them rather than commit to getting air. We have been lcuky enough to have a new one built a mile or two from my house.
