Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a Boardman hybrid for my commute. I have read some good reviews, but have one reservation: my route is mainly road with some designated cycle track, i.e. the usual gravelly and bumpy surface. Are the thin tyres on the Boardman suitable for this type of surface? I have no intention of using it off road, but am slightly hesitant (before shelling out) about it's suitability for this type of surface.

Any advice would be appreciated.

As long as the track is not badly rutted or muddy, then the tyres should be fine. They're 28s on the Boardman, which some of the roadies on here would consider to be impossibly fat!

Bleeding tractor tyres that's what they are.
