Boardman Team Carbon 2014 - mudguards?

Has anyone been successful in fitting mudguards to a Boardman Team Carbon 2014 (probably very similar to the 2016 model also)?

If yes, could you confirm make and model of mudguard and if any "special procedure" was required to fit them.

Raceblades or similar short guards. There is not enough clearance for full mudguards.

Cruds might fit but they are ime rubbish flimsy things. Get Halfords to fit, they charge £5-8 to do so if you buy from them (and they price match)

Bit harsh declaring them as rubbish; they are flimsy compared to some but if you want full coverage with some frame/caliper/tyre combinations, they fill a niche.

Nope in my experience of using them they are rubbish but yes, there may be no alternative. Just make sure all the fixings are tight or superglued, or you'll get home after the first ride missing half of the parts...they are rubbish and overpriced (that said I got them for under £2 on a Halfords deal, still expected them to last more than one ride)

They don't work well with anything above a 23mm tyre either. I had with a 25 and they rubbed constantly despite frequent fiddling

I had one of the early Team Carbons (2009?) on which I ran Crud Road Racers (Mk1) and then SKS Raceblade longs (also Mk1) with 23mm tyres. Can't imagine that the frame design has changed that much so the Mk2 version of the Raceblades would be my choice as they're more substantial and quicker to get on or take off as conditions requires.

Thanks to all for the advise. I have 25mm tyres and as commented the gap left is not enough to fit mudguards on this particular Boardman model.

Was that perhaps because the front wheel had a disc brake and they didn't want to bend/fit the mudguard bracket?

Nothing wrong with that if it helps the stays to stay clear of a disc caliper and still come down far enough to provide some spray protection.

I tried crud mk3s and found they didn't fit my old road comp as the tabs hit the spokes, ended up with mk 2s I had in stock

I found the same but moving the pads to the outside of the forks sorted it.
