I used to have no particular opinion about Sir Bob. But then I went to a retro 80s festival last summer.

Great line up (for middle aged fogeys at least); Human League, ABC, Jimmy Summerville, Soul II Soul etc etc. All good, played their hits, nice chat with the audience. Then there was Sir Bob. Did the hits of course, but everything was f***ing this and f***that.

Now I enjoy a good swear. But this guy was trying waaaaay too hard to be a bad boy rocker and failing badly. Utterly hopeless and by far the worst act of the weekend

Those adverts in motorway service station toilets would suggest that they should get down to Lloyds pharmacy.

I do not know the person but I do like his music. I also admire what he has achieved, which happens I would imagine to be quite a bit more than most of those who consider him a plonker.

I heard he's worth around 60 million quid. He brought out three singles and a couple of LP's in the 70's. How could that make him so much money?
He either founded or was a major shareholder in the Planet 24 TV production company that did The Big Breakfast and other popular programs in the 90's whatever his money is it came from that more than the music.

Geldof did show Farage up in public to be a lying little sh!t ... so that earns him a little credit.
I liked Bob having a go at that odious parasite Farage. It made my blood boil to see that useless tw*t claiming to stand up for those fishermen when, as an MEP, he sits on the fisheries committee and hardly ever votes. Does sod all for about £84k a year. Has the bl***dy gall to criticise the EU for being a gravy train when he's been riding it for 17 years. Photon torpedoes, maximum spread!!!

He also sold his holiday company Deckchair, it sold online cheap flights on ozone depleting aeroplanes, I recall that earned him about £10m.
