Dear all,
I'm wondering if it is a smart idea to use a Bob Yak trailer on the Moulton TSR. I'd like to do self sustained camping tours on my Moulton and a trailer seems to be the best option for carrying all the necessary luggage (probably 15 to 20 kg).
However, some people warned me that the rear hinge of the Moulton might be not able to cope with the lateral tilt of the trailer and might wear out quickly or even break.
Does anyone has any experiences with that matter? I'm grateful for any comment / advice.
Many thanks and best regards
Olaf

Redfalo, if you are considering a BOB Yak trailer because you cannot mount racks on the Moulton, you should give Freeload racks a look. They claim to be mountable to ANY bike. I own a set. They're fantastic. I've looked at the Moulton, and they may indeed work for you. No braze-ons required. These things are awesome. Freeload Racks. New Zealand. They have a website.

There is a problem with the way two and three wheel trailers rect withthe frame.

If you have a two wheel bike and a one wheel trailer the trailer tilts withthe bike, but stresses the frame as it is pulled back up. On a triccle the attempt to tilt stresses the frame.

Two wheel trailers have all the tilting and other stresses taken up by the coupling so the same stresses do not occur.

Having said that the company does list the YAK as compatible with rear suspension bikes.
