Bodge, hack or what?

I have been thinking of something similar to clean the rims on my mtb, to prevent the mud and stones clogging up the brakes and damaging the rim - already have one scratched rim. Unfortunately i have not got past the "thinking about" stage, where to fix, how to fix, etc.
The other problem is we all use electric toothbrushes, which might clean the rim better but pose more mounting problems and weight. Also would need removal for charging. Nah, think I`ll rely on a cloth after the muddy bit!

I was thinking that maybe a hamster water bottle would be a good addition so you could drip lube the chain, too.. 👍

This was been done by Claud Butler many years ago. Top Picture shows dip feed to the chain and bottom the filling point for the built in reservoir in the set tube .
