Hi guys. Some of you may know that a couple of years ago I wrote my first book, about cycling, wild-camping and busking up and down the North-East coast of England (and briefly Scotland). I'd spent the previous year travelling the U.K in a campervan, but it had by then broken into a state unusable. I was desperate to get back on the road but just didn't know how. One day inspiration hit me in the form of an old bicycle lying in a ditch. I dragged it out, tied a few things to it (my guitar, a tent & cooker) and began my new life cycling up and down the various towns through Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire, Northumberland & the Scottish border. The book is about the tales and adventures which followed, an inspiring read about the joys of cycling, the desire to roam, the beauty of the British countryside and the interesting folk one meets when journeying through it.
I've had a really hard time with the company which originally published the book (a lesson to anyone else with a book), basically it was a scam in which I was left to do all the promotion. Fortunately though I've quite recently managed to buy my way out of the contract and have printed some of my own paperback copies to sell.
If anyone's interested here's where you can grab yourself one: http://www.lunchmusic.co.uk/Buy the Book/
Thanks for reading, and keep on pedalling!
All the best,
Tom
