Another vote for The Hour - and Re:Cyclists by the same author. Both absorbing and brilliant!
also.... The Rules by The Velominati - hilarious.....
and by Tim Moore French Revolutions, The cyclist who went out in the cold and Gironimo. Amazing research and journeys.

Good luck!

I like Skol

Ned Boulting has a couple of light-hearted easy read cycling books that are worth a look. Some obviously revolve around the tdf circus but I think one is also a humourous take on the middle aged cyclist balancing, career, family and hobby in the modern cycling environ.

I`ve read, and enjoyed, in no particular order, just as they are on my shelf or Kindle
The world according to G Geraint Thomas
Around the world in 80 days - Mark Beaumont
Dare to Tri - Louise Minchin
The death of Marco Pantani - Matt Rendell very illuminating
Mud Sweat and Gears LEJOG - Ellie Bennett
The Breakaway - Nicole Cooke
A rough ride - Paul Kimmage
Three weeks, Eight Seconds - Nige Tassell the epic tdf of 1989
just starting Put me back on my bike - William Fotheringham
Never done so much reading

Which one is the humourous take on middle aged cyclist? Like the sound of that one?
