Got up to a good three inches of snow this morning. Trudged through it to get to the main road of my estate, two inches of slush there. Got bus to work after a mile no snow, no slush just wet roads. Damn I could have cycled

Just a hard frost in Manchester - even rode from my doorstep - i.e. no ice on the ungritted roads.

Was snowing when I went to bed last night, but not a sign this morning. Can't remember the last time we had 3 inches of snow here!

I just tend to leave earlier if I suspect snow and I have walked with the bike although obviously it's worse up narth.

I live near the coast and some of the gales we get are extreme, channelled by the few buildings to make them more intense. So I've seen me bottle out too and take the bus. 5-10 minutes later and I'm away from the shore and we are stuck in traffic and I'm wishing I had cycled.
