The Dorking area is a great base for some nice rides. Plenty of hilly bits but nothing terribly long. I would suggest heading along the A25 and taking random turnoffs. Head a mile or two north of it then come back across and go to the south of it. Work your way along from Shere to Oxted and report back with your progress

Thats were i a m going wrong:laugh: i always head south towards Gatwick airport in a big loop(Big loop for me anyway ) and back again, i think next time i will head towards Ockley , forest green and up Leith hill that way.? But i am only three months in to this and riding a Hybrid ( excuses ,excuses)^_^

My old stomping ground.Lots of nice roads there. As has been mentioned, Boxhill isnt that bad, there are certainly harder hills available! I lived in the Redhill/Horley area and enjoyed going out into the East Grinstead area, there are a few long drags over that way.
