Boxing day is 'Ding ding, round two' of the gluttony fest.

It's fry up day with:

Sausages, eggs, bacon, mushrooms, home made chips, baked beans, black pudding, tomato sauce, chop sauce, mayonnaise and loads of bread and butter.

I managed to take it easy yesterday. Probably walking with the inlaws this arvo, might get a short ride in after that. Still knackered from feeding the 5000 yesterday tho.

I'm sat here at the computer, everybody else is still in bed, the remains of last nights buffet is still on the table, there are presents and cards scattered on the floor and it looks like theres been a riot. I feel fat and the belly's a bit uncomfortable, I recon I ate almost as much food yesterday as I normally eat over a full weekend, we had a good Xmas day and hope everybody else on Cycle chat had a good one as well.

I accidentally dropped 3kgs in five days after riding home last weekend, think I'm back to normal after yesterday. Off out riding now anyway.

Here for rides.
Got up to find the younglings had done all the washing up before they left for work; the joys of retail employment. What stars they are.

I'd promised myself a moderate Xtmas and that is what I gave myself. Highly unusual for me but I feel better for it. Did a 10km run Xtmas Eve morning, zipped around the town on the bike early doors y'day, and plan to throw myself on a bike in a bit and go visit a local landmark of some sort. Will probably be a landmark with a pub sign on it ;-)

Don't feel too bad today, a fairly large amount of food but only a 1/2 pint of beer; and had an early night to avoid having to endure Downtown Abbey so was up nice and early today and just about to head off for a few miles in the gales. That'll give me an apetite for more food, and probably more alcohol than I had yesterday.

I am sat here chillin out still in jim jams. With a really warm glow of satisfaction of a day well spent. It's the second Christmas with our in laws coming here.It was just such a perfect day.I enjoyed the whisky and Bourbon also. There was a special moment when In Laws, me and the wife. The wife's sister and our two teenage girls all watched a Xmas video.Batman begins. That will stay with me a long time. All the generations together.Today we have decided it's a total doing nothing day.Yeah.

Just got back from my standard short (12 mile) ride and waiting for my lovely lady to get ready so I can go back out and do it again with her. The temperature is a blistering 12c with no wind and there's little or no traffic. We're lucky to have some very scenic countryside round here and it's always much nicer when shared with a companion rider. I've no illusions about the weight though, any benefits from this morning's rides will be more than offset by the feasting later today (after all, it is the feast of St Stephen today). :hungry::cheers:
