 Too easy!

I rather like the light bulb one.

You are shown into a windowless room which contains a single bare light bulb hanging from the ceiling, currently off. There are no switches of any kind inside the room. Then you are taken out of this room, the door being closed behind you, and into an adjacent room which contains three ordinary wall switches. It is explained that one of the switches controls the light bulb, whilst the other switches operate other equipment which does not come into this puzzle. You cannot see from the second room into the first room.

You are allowed to operate the switches in any way you like, and then will be allowed to pay one, and only one, further visit to the first room. After that, you must state for certain which switch controls the light bulb.

Take the bulb with you to the second room and put it in the light socket in there. Assuming it has a conventional layout you will know what switch operates it.

Nope.
You are not allowed to remove the lightbulb in the first room, from its socket.

A ship is moored by the quayside, in a tidal harbour, at low tide. It is not being loaded or unloaded. There is a rope ladder hanging over the ship's side, partly immersed in the water. It has rungs spaced one foot apart. At present exactly twenty-five rungs are visible above the waterline. How many rungs will be visible at high tide? You may assume that the range between high and low tide is fifteen feet.
Still 25, as the ship will rise with the tide.

The 'what colour was the bear' ones have probably been done to death: there are so many variants and I'm sure everyone knows the answer!

Likewise the 'truth-tellers' and 'liars' ones (usually an island with two tribes). Dozens of versions of those.

And I'm sure the 'missionaries and cannibals' ones will have had a lot of outings. Never mind, here is a slight variant of it. Note that in my PC version, it is the missionaries that must never be allowed to outnumber the cannibals, lest they then gang together to use their powers of persuasion to subvert the peace-loving cannibals' ancient culture and traditions. That must never be allowed to happen. Geddit?
Right.
The five missionaries want to cross the river from west to east, and the five cannibals from east to west. They are willing to cooperate. They have one canoe which will hold just three people. Only one of the missionaries, and one of the cannibals, know how to paddle a canoe. And as I said, the missionaries must never outnumber the cannibals either in the boat or on either shore.

Where are three mistakes in this sentence?

Sorry all, thought that Speicher had already got this (but a kindly PM told me otherwise). For the record the three mistakes are

1, spelling of three (tree)
2, Spelling of Mistakes (s)
3, the fact that the third mistake is missing.

Kind of a let down so late after posting this:blush:

Okay, another one for you.

A man is taking his dog for a walk when it starts to rain hard. To avoid getting wet, he starts to walk really fast stopping for cover when ever he can and eventually runs towards home.

They take cover for a short period under a large tree untill the rain stops.

When they get home the man notices that the dog is a lot wetter than him.

What is the dogs name?
