I cannot for the life of me find the thread on here but someone recently posted a great thread on brake adjustmen,t particularly the cable set up.
The master stroke for me was moderately clamping the cable bolt then pulling through enough cable to set the brake levers to stop where you wanted them - and of course then clamping up the bolt firmly.
I had not thought to do this but today my brakes feel well...snappy!
