Hi all, I've just got back to cycling after a couple of months off and I'm really finding my brakes inadequate. They are Tektro Aquila mechanical disk brakes, I've tried adjusting them but if I get them to be responsive they rub like crazy. Is it worth persevering with them would getting Avid bb7s offer a better solution or would I be wasting money?

You may save yourself a bit of hassle by replacing your existing setup. Perhaps its just worn out.
If you don't mind paying out around £50 I would think that would be a good investment and give you peace of mind.
I admit to not knowing a lot about disc brakes and someone else with more knowledge might have another suggestion.
