I reckon so, these don't come with their own holder I think it's a universal size for it.

Also, I want to point out I had brakes similar to these insert thingies but they were Clarks instead, some fairly high quality "triple compound" stuff. I found they were absolutely useless in the wet and had no stopping power in the dry worth mentioning. Sucked all the metal from my rim too.

I had better success replacing those insert/holder pads with this specifically

There are no compatibility issues with these, even though I think they're made for V brakes, but they fit on my tektro calipers just fine, got them dialed in perfect too. They're bigger (longer) than your insert/holder ones, didn't have a problem on a 700c wheel however, this extra contact area was welcome in the wet especially. In the dry though, they were insanely powerful. Quiet too.

Ditch the holders and give these ones a try, promise you wont regret it.

No, those are inserts for V-brakes. Look for ones with the complete brake shoe if you are not sure what inserts you have or post a picture here. Inserts come in two or three styles so you have to be pretty sure what shoes you have. When you've figured out what you have, get the "salmon" ones.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll have a look at the Clarks as an option.

OK, that tells the whole story. Those are pad/shoes for a want of a better word. They are pads and shoes integrated. You cannot change only the pads but have to get a whole shoe too. I suggest your next set should be something like a Shimano or Campagnolo compatible set which can take new pads as and when required.

Any of these below will work as will stock Shimano/Campagnolo brake shoes. However, it is worthwhile searching for the Koolstop pads since they are so much better. You can get Koolstop pad inserts for both stock Shimano and Campagnolo brake shoes. I would even be prepared to pay for a Shimano shoe, ditch the black rubber pad and replace it with a compatible Koolstop one.

Thanks so much, that's really clear now. I think I'll go with the Shimano/Campag shoe and replace the pads with Koolstops.

Mm, I know I've said. They have offered better stopping power than the Insert pads for me, when I had the problem the OP was talking about.

There's no reason they can't fit on a standard caliper for a road bike, no need to cancel out options

More rubber (and better rubber) is probably better for the poor pads she was complaining about upgrading shoes and insert pad types won't change a thing for that problem i'm firmly sure but time will tell.
