Hello all,
I fear I may have contaminated my rear disc pads with some oil, and after riding for 4 miles with the brake on in an attempt to revive them (which did work slightly ) I'm now contemplating buying new pads.
This is my bike: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/scott/sportster-p55-2009-hybrid-bike-ec016318
This is the brakes: http://techdocs.shimano.com/media/t...BR/EV-BR-M415-2526A_v1_m56577569830654483.pdf
And I think these are the standard replacement pads:

I'm totally new to all this so apologies for a newbie question.
What Im wondering is if there is a better alternative to the Shimano pads. Dont get me wrong, Im really impressed with them, but just wondering if you could suggest something at a similar price that may be either longer lasting or more powerful.
Thank you,
Mike
