Does anyone else detest the heavy brand naming of cycling kit? I find discreet logos (such as on Chapeau and Mavic jerseys) are acceptable but I would not wear a bold brand name even if it was a freebie. It is a pity that retro style striped jerseys particularly are used by manufacturers to create mobile billboards. If you share my view let your LBS know and maybe some-one will take us back to discretion and elegance

Each to their own.
The world would be a boring place if we all liked the same thing.

My 2 best bikes; 1 is a Specialized with in your face logos splashed all over (of which you have seen), the other, my Van Nick is logo-less.

I'm really not that arsed to be honest. If I don't like it then I don't buy it. There are plenty of clothes for cycling out there that are not covered in logos so it would be an easy enough choice if I didn't like a heavily logo'd top.

Another take on the brand names.

There are certain brand names that I just don't like the sound of, the word of the brand, the way it looks, and what I perceive it means to me, and as a result I won't even consider buying a product of that brand for example: Pearl Drums, now that company make very good drum kits, one of the largest drum manufactures in the world, some of the best drummers in the world play their drums, but there is some thing about the word " Pearl" that puts me right off them. There a couple bike brands that do that to me too, and the car brand Vauxhall, makes my teeth itch, nothing wrong with Vauxhall cars as far as I know, not better or worse than any others, but would just not buy one because the brand name.

Probably just me.
