Brand new Felt Nine 6 tyres

I picked up my new bike the other day and I want to go tubeless so I ordered some rim tape and tubeless valves. When I was ready to make the change I deflated the old tyres but they don't want to come away from the rim, it's as if they are glued to the rim or possibly already tubeless.
Can anyone shed any light on this for me?

They will just have a tight fit on the rim. Once deflated grab the tyre and roll it over the side of the rim and towards the hub, which should unseat the bead, or use a tyre lever.
