No, doing fine during the ride. I've been training for years although new to cycling. Have never done anything on empty though - think your body starts getting energy from places it shouldn't.
I don't eat before I cycle to work. I'm not really a eat breakfast as soon as i get up kind of guy. So i just eat when i get to work, can do about 20 miles on an empty stomach.

Before my 10 mile commute into London in the mornings, I'd love to say it was a healthy and protein fuelled breakfast releasing slow burning energy throughout the ride.
However in the rush its either a bowl of cereal or a banana.
Do you manage anything better?
