Went to a new city today to go into a cinema café wherein I'm just having lunch. Café 60% full. Look about to see a mother attend her son. The lad looks about 4/5 years of age. The lad is then breast fed by his mother. So,nothing wrong with that,I hear you say. My mind then wonders and then thinks about what age it would be seen as ...unacceptable. 10? Well,I have read about such cases...and am not upset(in this day and this age. I try to be PC correct) So,my mind goes on...well, is it then acceptable for someone to be breastfed at say 30...or 55? I mean,if someone says it is not, that's age discrimination! And what's wrong with being breastfed in public anyways?

Just asking. Just curious. Not much in the papers today. Must be bored. Or,more likelyjust being awkward.

It doesn't bother me, no matter the age of the sprog. No one's business but theirs.

Once they're walking I'd find it odd.

But breastfeeding a baby in public is fine with me.

We've had our 17 or 18 month old granddughter last night and she' been walking since about 11 months I think...but she still takes mum' breast occasionally, mostly for comfort I think.
Funnily enough, she got really quite upset this afternoon, crying and continually asking for mama, quite heart breaking really. We've had her about 24 hours, mum's got the flu but took her back early, as soon as we got her back home, she wanted 'boobie' as she puts it. Within minutes, she was calmed right down.

She's nearly off the boob I think, which seems about right to me.

My wife used to childhood a boy who was still on the boob at 5. That seemed too old to me...but that' just my opinion, i wouldn't condemn mum for it.

If Robert DeNiro is cool with it, then that's good enough for me.

I remember there being some woman being banned from breastfeeding in the swimming pool...but it remained unclear whether she was wanting to breastfeed at the side of the pool or in it. If it was in,then I thought it a bit rich cos I thought I might want to take in and eat my jam sandwiches and drink tea whilst there(in the pool). Just saying....

I see some people(ladies?)were getting a bit upset about transgendering men-2-become-women being allowed into the ladies pool at Hampstead. Interesting. I wondered if there was any line wherein a line might be drawn. I mean someone(there's always someone!)maybe transitioning to a woman for, say, two hours, then go back to want to be a man(only read about this not so long ago). Me? I'm not too bothered by anything theseadays. But I guess some people can get upset.

In my local (public)sauna it was the accepted norm to sauna in the all-together. Later it changed to having to wear bathers. Dunno what the problem was. Funny goings-on perhaps? At that time I can't recall any naked ladies walking in(so I guess it wasn't shared) I think the Nordic countries are much more relaxed about all this-sortathing but that Switzerland has put a veto on naked German ramblers walking about/over their mountains...as was their wish(well, some of 'em)
