Brennan Hard disk music server

I'm thinking of ditching my entire CD library and moving to a hard disk solution.

Does anyone have a Brennan JB7?
Are they any good?
Do they integrate well with phones/iPods/USB sticks?
Any other pros and cons?

I've been looking at them - planning to plug it into an amplfier. It's not really clear to me whether that would have any advantage over an iPod/PC plugged into an amplifier (which would seem to be a slightly cheaper and potentially more flexible option).

160G is 359GBP, so quite a bit more expensive than an ipod classic.

i plug my ipod classic direct to my stereo via a simple phono lead. can't see a brennan being very cost effective.

Maybe not, but they do look better as a piece of hi-fi equipment

If it hasn't got networking features (i.e. being able to stream the content to other clients/devices around the house), I wouldn't bother. This sounds complicated to do, but it really isn't.
