Not looking forward to the food price rises. We are really suffering from the lack of rain at the horticultural research centre I work at. Its the same for all farmers and growers.

Not north of the border! Hardly stopped raining up here for the whole of May. A few days ago they were forecasting a heatwave up heere; now they seem to have changed their minds. Yesterday was the "heatwave", today it's back to being windy but dry; tomorrow it's all heading downhill again!

Well, did a nice 48 miler this am... flipping wind everywhere. And my arms got cold. But it was a good ride, nonetheless.

Yesterday was lovely, took a wander around Whitelee wind farm and even the wind up there didn't stop it being warm. Had a sore head this morning mind you, not used to all that sun and heat

Back to normal now like Brandane said. It's pretty windy again today, and it's a cold wind. Same again tomorrow, plus some rain, temperature barely into double figures.... roll on the summer, if it doesn't hurry up it'll soon be autumn!

In Kendal today it was, in that classic phrase 'nice if you were out of the wind'

The problem with this wind is that it's drying - the garden, that is - no problem with the washing - so you still have to water the veggies. Mind you, the beans got decimated by the last two weeks wind  It's one of the perennial problems - give the veggies shelter from the wind and they'll also be in the shade, give them sun and they'll be in the wind. I need windproof vegetables
