This ride has been one of, if not the best Friday rides ever. Old faces, new friends, excellent route, kind weather and a great breakfast stop. Steve it was sensational, thank you.

I'm dead without my eight hours sleep. This morning was the first time I'd ridden before 9.00 am in a couple of years. I envy all you Fnrttc'ers as something like that would ruin me for a couple of days.

Sunrise by the Transporter Bridge over the Usk in Newport

It was a splendid night out, good route, good company and a good leader.

The sunrise was spectacular as was the breakfast in the warm sunshine.

John's E-bike AKA Tiger Tank is limited to 25 Kph. I can go a bit more than that on the flat so he is always behind. However when the gradient rises he can maintain 25 Kph and I have not a snowballs chance in hell of drafting him. Oh how I laugh.

Anyone who bashes e-bikes has never drafted one while riding a Brompton into a bastard headwind when they've got a train to catch...

Sounds like I missed a good ride. I was preoccupied with an AGM and a tent full of ants.
