Does it have gears?

No, fixed single speed. You can get a geared hubs, but they're hellishly expensive (~£800), and just give 1:1.5 and 1:1 (so 2 gears, but even that is a 50% speed increase per revolution). However, part of the reason I enjoy unicycling is the simplicity.

Supposed to be doing a 30 mile ride next weekend (Glastonbury British Heart Foundation ride) but I'm not feeling too confident about it at the moment, so I have the wife on standby in case I collapse halfway round!
