    Just been told about this. Apparantly the series begins in 1910!

    So, no railways, steam engines or bicycles, then:wacko:

    Mmm,

    Perhaps it should have been called Some of Britain's Greatest Machines.

    How you can do such a series a miss out the Victorian era is a bit odd.

    I was interested in the bit about Harry Ricardo as my brother worked for Ricardo for a time after graduating and was sent by them to Detroit to head up the development of Hummer 2 (I admit with a mixture of pride and embarrassment!)
