British Cycling has also changed the way in which you receive your discount. You first need to log on the site and get a code which you then show as well as your card.

Seems a bit of a faff for me, especially for some spur of the moment investments.

I was in my local branch today and this is very much the process now being followed - they've previously been very relaxed about the BC discount, but today it was 'you need the code'.

As @Slick says, a bit off a faff for any spur of moment purchases.

If only BC had an app for your phone you could just click on, rather than having to log into the website...

What code? Your membership number is on the card. Don’t you use that??

Not really if you have your phone with you and can connect to the web. Or just take a screenshot before going to collect

I have a similar question - I'm a member of Cycling UK, so I get the 10% discount at Halfords, *but* I can also buy vouchers to spend at various places at a discount, so for example, I can get 8% off at Halfords in the form of a printable voucher. Now, cycling UK says that ot can't be used with "colleague discounts" does this count as this? I'm not a Halfords colleague at all....

The deal is for a very reasonable turbo so there's already a good discount (wouldn't dream of paying rrp but all the discounts make it more attractive..)

Really? That's a game changer for me. I've just renewed my BC and had known about Halfords tightening up their discount but this is the first that I've heard CRC have made this change.
