As far as I can tell dual nationality seems to be of most use when booking plane tickets... our neighbours always check the price as NZ and UK nationals before they book.

Travel on the Kiwi passport; if you get high-jacked, they'll most likely shoot the Brits before the Kiwis.

Nah she should definitely support the kewis, then, when Ben Foden, Shane Geraghty and Jono Wilkinson hit top form you can rub it in her face
I'm off to see th aussie game and have high hopes we will win convincingly, the squad is very strong this year, the 4 players selected from my local side have played brilliantly, especially Geraghty, who when joined up with Wilkinson could be a devastating pair!

Not sure I really understand the question... but....

I wouldn't have thought you have any kind of priority per se based on nationality. I think it probably depends on what you are trying to do and the rules for that particular thing. So sorry, I don't see that you (as a UK passport holder in England) have the right to tell your NZ nationality misses anything!

I grew up in NZ and could have had both a NZ and UK passport, but I didn't bother and just got a UK one. I believe you can only hold one passport though, thought I know plenty of people with more.

A NZ passport would have been useful to visit the folks, or to return to NZ to live. My re-entry visor has long since expired so I have to get a visitors' permit when I go back now, or apply for immigration if I ever wanted to return (which I don't).

Coincidently, my UK passport expired a few days ago and I'm debating getting a French one... because it'll be easier and cheaper!

Bizarrely, you are only allowed one driving license though.


As for the original question, if you get into trouble in NZ the UK won't help you out & vice versa.

But which nationality has primacy?

I would assume that whilst in UK, UK does and whilst in NZ, NZ does - but can't find it anywhere.

Of course I can't force her to do anything - but having said that beibg disloyal to the queen is treason...........

I have friends and colleagues with two British passports. They are quite happy to give them out if you can show that you need to travel to Israel and Arabic countries.

You can get points on a licence without having a licence!

Suppose it's a valid 'points' argument about the driving license, but do different countries check with others regarding points on a license anyway?
