Broke my collar bone a couple of days ago.

Coming home from work I got clipped and hit the ground quite hard.

Collar bone is in five pieces. Attended a fracture clinic today and I'll be seeing another consultant in a week. The fractures are mid shaft so it shouldn't need any help surgically, but I have a couple of other health issues that might complicate things.

The bike doesn't seem too bad. New levers and hoods will be required and I'll replace the bars and stem for safety and get a shop to look at the headset and forks. Otherwise as far as I can tell no other damage.

Was this related to an earlier comment about an unsympathetic investigative officer? You should make a complaint and request a replacment. This can be done, i believe. Anyway, hope you mend quickly without complications.

No, that was an incident a long time in the past that was in no way accidental.
