I joined cyclechat in October last year after being laid up with rhabdomyolysis in my legs, and found a place with a great 'feel' which really helped me along. As I started riding again and managing only a few miles all I got was support. I found putting my rides on the 'your ride today' drew likes and encouragement from people I have never met. This little online community helped motivate me through what were on occasion painful rides.
10 days ago I had my first pain free ride since September last year, and felt I'dI'd reached a turning point. Unfortunately, I found myself in pain yesterday despite having not exercised for days and playing it safe came to see my consultant. After 5 miles in the car I was in agony, and am now back in hospital with the third bout of rhabdomyolysis since July last year. Really quite peeved
