...it's the start of travel news silly season.

ITN spoke to a man waiting for plane at the airport... "I came to the airport earlier today to get on a plane... and here i am at the airport, waiting for my plane.. it's absolutely ridiculous!"

Meanwhile, MontyVeda is pulling his hair out... "What the feck did you expect to do at an airport other than wait to get on a plane??? That's what you do at an airport! That's why you went to the airport!! Nobody cares that you're waiting a few hours longer than anticipated... well no-one apart from the News, who just love putting gormless muppets like you lot on TV & Radio complaining about doing nothing extraordinary."

Delays happen, get over it... this is not news!

....and relax.

Well it is news as the purpose of the news is to inform people of events and things which can effect them. This glitch affected most of the major airports around the country so it was a huge deal. While saying that things like this happen and people need to mtfu

You can crash on the ground also. It's not limited to being in the air
But they don't normally load the passengers if the plane is not going to be taking off. Those in flight will already have passengers on board.
Problem resolved, but delays expected until tomorrow evening.

Aircraft always have a divert airfield in case of this. Not all airfields where effected. Taxing aircraft would have been effected for example and they would be on the ground. I don't know if they would let passengers off or not. It depends on what the pilot wants to do.

He'd not sit on the runway with engines running. That costs money. Thats why many off-loaded their passengers.
