Am not sure if the great tattooed one has punted this up but I shall, here are the details:
Saturday 30th October - Pluckley circular
Around 50 miles - moderate pace - moderately hilly (c.2300ft of climbing). Option to finish at c.35 miles (Appledore Stn).
Meet: Either London Bridge Station 07:50 - main entrance, near the ticket machines, to catch the 08:08 to Pluckley
or at Bromley South 07:50 outside the main entrance, to catch the 08:06 to Orpington, changing onto the 08:24 to Pluckley
Another classic from the Bromley parish this is not too challenging, but quite lengthy. It features great countryside and traditional villages, with lunch at a rustic Inn near to Appledore and Rye (E.Sussex) followed by a return to Pluckley ('Englands most haunted village') by about 4pm. After the ride, we plan to have a drink or two and some food at the village pub,The Black Horse, to which all are welcome.
