There was a issue with the orginal route. This included a bit of off road in Ashdown Forest and the crappy bit through Lewes. Here is an updated version. Along with a return following the same route. Looks like the only cafe in Newhaven guaranteed to be open is at Sainsburys. I have checked on Street view and it looks like we will be able to lock our bikes right outside.

The cafe we have used for the FNRttC is good. It is called The Captain's table and is down in the Marina area. Put the postcode BN9 9BE in your thing.
Is it not the Luna Rossa now? Still good though.

01273 515 600 my mate Luciano..."don mention you 'Captains Table' or da kid gets it."
Thanks for that, I knew that the cafe had shut. But good to see you can still get brekkie. Weather forecast has improved. Tail wind going South and the sun coming out at noon

I'm a 'probable' for this - so long as my ankle eases a bit and I get time tomorrow to track down and fix the creak/squeak on the Enigma. I won't be quick enough on the Thorn and this probably isn't a ride for Fixed (unless @martint235 is riding Fixed that is?)

I did think about bringing the singlespeed but a. it's got my commuting rack on it and b. Lelly hasn't been out for ages.

I'd like to join you tomorrow but will probably need to bail out somewhere on the way back. I'll be on the first train from Victoria (arrives Bromley South 0743).

Well, I found the source of the creaking/clicking on the Enigma. Cracked rim on the rear. So, winter wheels and tyres are now on, but you'll be pleased to know I serviced the Fulcrums, so the freewheel is now respectably quiet and I won't need to ride 10 yards behind the rest of you.
I shall be going cross country rather than the long way round via Bromley, so will meet you at the end of Clacket Lane - by the Grasshopper pub. If you leave Bromley at 7.50am, you should be there around 8.40am. If I'm held up I'll text one of you, but I expect to be there in good time.
See you in the morning.

Knackered. Had to take the long way home from East Croydon to be sure of the Century. Thanks for the company chaps. Turns out that was my 24th century ride of the year. Next one will (hopefully) have fewer hills!

Got home at 4.45pm....I was aiming for 5pm so chuffed at that. My old legs now feel like jelly.
Great ride with some great climbing and even greater descents.

So that's another 3 Gold stars awarded after this ride.

Thanks everyone for your company. That is a nice route and definitely one to do in the summer. Just missed my train at Bromley South, but still got home for 6pm. That is my third century a month challenge completed as well.
And by the way @ianrauk is a star. just realised he has already awarded me the 3rd star by the time I got home.
